CaterTrax Jumps Two Spots on 2016 Rochester Chamber Top 100 List
A timeless memory taken with a Kodak camera.
The almost unimaginable produce section at Wegmans.
Susan B. Anthony fighting for every woman’s right to vote.
A high-quality marketing report printed on a Xerox machine.
What do all of these things have in common? They’re all deeply rooted in Rochester, NY, a city synonymous with culture, history, opportunity, and growth. Headquartered in downtown Rochester, in the eclectic Neighborhood of the Arts (NOTA), we recognize the impact that growing businesses have on our economy and are grateful to be among those experiencing steady growth year over year.
Making the Top 100 List
Inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit and growth of the Rochester region, for the past 30 years the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and KPMG LLP acknowledge and award Rochester’s Top 100 fastest growing, privately held companies. In order to qualify for this accolade businesses must:
- Be privately held.
- Be headquartered within the 9-county Rochester, NY region.
- Have earned at least $1 million in revenue in each of the three most recent fiscal years. (The calculation of revenue growth is defined by both dollar and percentage growth.)
CaterTrax is excited and honored to be recognized among the other 99 growing Rochester businesses for the second year in a row, jumping two spots from their ranking at #84 in 2015 to #82 this year. We are a Software as a Service (SaaS) company, happy to have made the list this year with 17 fellow technology companies from the surrounding Rochester community.
The Passion of 18 Teams
Since our official incorporation 12 years ago, we’ve experienced stable double-digit growth year over year and realize that a business cannot survive and thrive without the passion and determination of a strong team. Starting with the hiring process, we place great emphasis on hiring talented individuals who are passionate, willing to embrace our core values, and who are ready and willing to continue growing with us.
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.” – Steve Jobs
In retrospect, just six years ago CaterTrax consisted of only 30 individuals and today boasts about 90 dedicated employees – a number greatly attributed to loving what we do. Without each team members’ desire and dedication to show up every day and produce great work, our steady growth would have never been attainable. We believe in our catering management software and are passionate about supporting over 4,000 clients in the foodservice industry.
Celebrate Good Times, Come On!
Once it was revealed that CaterTrax made the Top 100 list and jumped two spots from last year, it was time to celebrate this accomplishment as a team. As a way to celebrate this honor, the office was transformed into a fall festival complete with carnival games, snacks, and of course, prizes! Employees were invited to go bowling and play ring toss, corn hole, balloon darts, and hole-in-one golf. Players earned raffle tickets to enter to win fun prizes from CaterTrax swag to gift cards for local restaurants, and even a deep fryer!
The consensus? The fall festival was a success! Employees were thankful for the opportunity to step away for a couple of hours and celebrate together as a team. It’s important to us that we stay true to our culture and celebrate wins together, reflecting on what it takes to achieve accolades such as this one. Thank you to all of our employees for helping us achieve a place on the Rochester Chamber Top 100 list in 2016!
Are you hungry, humble, and smart? Are you passionate about what you do? Do you want to be part of something great? Then we want to hear from you! We’re always looking for talented individuals with a positive attitude to join our growing team and encourage you to submit your application.
